Secure Document Storage

Your original documents (Wills, LPAs etc) are the only legally binding versions. Photocopies or documents E&A hold on file for you are not legally valid as they will not have your original signature on them. Therefore, it is vital to keep the originals safe!

One place you shouldn’t keep your Will is at home. If you have a flood, fire, burglary or if your Will is simply damaged your Will becomes void. Another reason for not keeping your Will at home is privacy. Would you really want people to know what you are leaving and to whom?!

We work closely with National Will Safe Ltd who offer a complete secure document storage solution for a small annual fee. Your Will and other legal documents, such as Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), are kept in a sealed waterproof wallet which is then kept in a fireproof safe.

Whilst in the care of National Will Safe your documents are fully insured, and they will provide plastic identity cards for you and your Executors. These cards display your name and a unique ID and our contact details.

You can access your documents at any time, free of charge. They can either be returned to us or directly to you, using an insured delivery service.

The location of your Wills will be also be registered, free of charge, on the National Wills Register.
